Getting to the Lectures

By clicking on a) Humanities and Social Science or b) Science tabs at the top of the page, you will find lectures with pictures that will help you understand the text better. There is also a glossary for each article which explains difficult words either with definitions or pictures. Alternatively, there are recordings of each lecture that you can listen to instead of reading the text .... or listen and read at the same time! It's up to you! We hope that you will not only learn about the topic of the lecture but also improve your English language skills as well. Difficult Vocabulary and Understanding the Images: If you double click on a difficult word, the definition will come up in the centre of the page. If you double click on an image, you can see its title and also the copyright information.

Every article also has video links that explain the subject in more detail.

Questions and Answers:

There are questions at the end of each article - just for your own use - so that you can see if you really understand the topic. Click on Finished Reading.

Supplementary Texts:

Some weeks, there are articles that will widen your knowledge. These will not be examined in your mid-terms and finals but you may earn extra points if you can show the examiner you have read them. Of course, more importantly, you will soon become a subject expert too! Help and Feedback:
